The average dog enjoys and tolerates kisses from thier owner, however it’s not always the case for every dog! Some loving dogs see a kiss as loving them and giving them attention. If they are waging their tail and acting happy then they probably are liking the kisses, they may even give a kiss back by licking you back!
On the contrary, some dogs hate kisses, even the sound or action makes them uncomfortable! Since dogs can’t and don’t associate kisses the same way as humans, they don’t precieve kisses or hugs as affection. Even though our intentions are good, for these special dogs it may be better to give them a little back massage, lower back is less threatening.
